caving
When it was caving time at camp.I went in and went to the highest tunnel and I found myself in a dark room.I thought it was a dead end.. I started down but just then I saw a doorway without a door . I went through the little door and I found myself in another dark room . Then I really thought it was a dead end but just then I heard a voice . I looked up . It was a lady and she said," How about under the net" so I went under the net . I almost fell down but I grabbed the net and I climbed up the net .I climbed up into the room where the lady was . Then I saw a ladder and the lady held the ladder straight . When I got to the top I had some trouble getting down .

Camp caving was a big light brown plank of wood skinny wood. It has an little holes in the outside. There is colourful stuff out on the outside. Wood even inside . when we went up sometimes people got lost and sometimes people didn't lost. People go through holes big holes from the ground to the top. It's really easy top get up but when I came down it was harder.I was scared when I came down.It was fun when I went up.The exciting part of camp was kayaking.It was my favourite thing ever.

At camp there was a big blue winding hydro slide that is so fast it will make you freak out.
It is so big it will make you look like a incy wincy spider.
I liked it because the hydro slide had speed and I love speed.
It just makes things fun .
I think some people did not like it.
But the bad part about it was the trampoline was not bouncy.
The key to make the hydro slide super fun was to lean back because it made it faster.
I reckon when we had to get of everyone didn't want to get off.

CAVING
CAVING
When we went to camp one of my favourite activities was caving.Caving is when you are locked in this big building and you have to
climb to the top.I really thought it was great fun.

Okay I said after Malakai splashed me when I was in my kayak at camp. Exactly after that Chris called us over to line up and for me and Malakai to swap kayaks using the raft like line we had created using kayaks. Camp was as amazing as it could get.

At camp we were lucky to be able to go on the lake and hydroslide even the aqua tramp was open. Only 10 people were allowed on it at a time.
It was opened at about 4:36 and it was like a 43 people line. It took like 20 min to get to the front but it was kind of worth it and to look on the bright side we got to go on the Hydroslide, woo-hoo splash.

It was finally camp. I was bleeding to go on the hydro-slide. I just could not wait until it was my turn. When it was my turn I wet my mat and put it on the launching area. I held my breath and let go. I zoomed down the hydro-slide like a speeding torpedo bashing from side to side.

Me and the rest of the Bruisers went caving it was the first time Ive ever experienced it. It was exciting.
I really wanted to know what it felt like.
It was toasting hot inside and there were lots of obstacles to climb over, under and through.
It was really challenging going through the tunnels up ladders and down nets.

Fire and damper was awesome and tasty. My dough kept coming off my stick. It was lots of fun. After fire and damper we were doing kayaking. When the damper was cooked I put lots of sugar on the damper. It was so tasty and my next activity was fun also.
Caving
Caving is cool because you can play get lost .When I was caving I pretended to be stuck. When I climbed the ladder I wobbled like a wiggly worm . After that I got lost. Eventually I made it. I was proud of myself. It was much fun.
Camp
It's kayaking time. I got my togs on and hopped in a kayak.I got stuck a couple of times,then I got the hang of it.We had a water fight with Connor's dad.I got soaked .It was an excellent experience.

Kayaking at camp
It was Monday morning. We got ready for camp. We were going to Bridge Valley Camp and we were staying the night. When we were kayaking I got soaked and wet so much that I was freezing cold but I had an amazing time . Then I had to go to the next activity. I liked the hydroslide the most because it was twisty and long and blue and it was very wet. I nearly turned around on the hydroslide.
Awesome caving
Caving was awesome when you got to the top! There were very small holes in the side so we can breathe but not many. There was a big hole in the cave on the wall. You went straight up and all of the tunnels went to the same spot. I went all the way to the top. It was awesome! It was very fast to get to the top especially when you've been up 10 times and down 10 times. It was exciting for me because it was my first time. I was all they way at the top with Thomas and Malakai.

I sit in my activity group called the crushers Choi let us go and I race off in my completely wet togs because I had just been in the kayaks.
I got to the line,I was 4th pace in the line then its my turn.I waited until the signal then I went down really fast and landed in the lake.When I got back up a path I saw a humungous line.I waited and waited.Then it was my turn again.This time I went even faster I landed in the lake with a big splash and swam over to the aqua tramp.The aqua tramp was not that bouncy just a little bit bouncy.When I wanted to get off I jumped into the lake and swam to shore.I went up the narrow path,grabbed my towel, wrapped it round me and walked off to my cabin I got dressed and went outside.The hydro slide was so much fun.

Waves
The water
swirls like the swirly wind, and my dog splashes in the light glittering water.

Some bright water splashes on my face and I am soaking wet!

Monarch Butterfly
The crisp gold light colours of the amazing creature catch my eye.
His incredible wings make the delicate creature stand out in the crisp morning sunlight.
The butterfly takes off. I smell the lovely nature smell that brings me back to the garden.
I see it twisting and turning then it starts to loop-the-loop around my head, almost like I am a play toy. I have never seen this before.

My white winter land
I see the
white winter land as I come around the corner. It’s like I’m living in a
gigantic ice cream. I can see lots of icicles glimmering and shimmering from
trees.

icy, grey snowflakes glimmer down from the sparkly clouds.
Bluebirds are
twittering sweet songs. The cold breeze touches my frozen skin. I can smell
sweet, cold fresh air while tasting the spectacular snow as it touches my face
and slides down my skin.
Suter Art Gallery
We walked in the freezing cold breeze to the Suter Art Gallery. When we got there it was worth walking in the cold. Then Esther came out and she told as to go inside. Sue put us in groups with a adult. We went around looking at all the art. Ester gave as a sheet. We decorated a print-out of the painting that we chose. It was the best trip ever.

Water supply
In inquiry we are looking at water supply. Some people have no choice but to drink dirty water and they can get really sick. People in Afghanistan have to fetch their water and some villages have to fetch their water from water holes or a river. For example in Kroo Bay in Africa all the water is dirty so they have to drink it. Some countries have only dirty water so they can't drink it with out getting really sick. What can we do to help them?

My descriptive writing
I am on a tropical island near the Equator with glistening ,
clear and warm water lapping gently against the shore. Dark green trees stand
out against the blue of the sky.
I can smell the sweet smell of ripe fruit on the trees mixed
with the smell of the salty sea.
I stroll to a tropical bar and get a smoothie. It tastes
great.
Feeling refreshed I get some coconut.
Back at the beach … CRACK! Lightning strikes. It’s a hurricane
and it is heading fir land!
I get a plane home before it hits.
The news says it is all Crash! Bang! Crack! for the poor
island.

Water Treatment Plant trip
A couple of weeks ago Room 8 went to the water treatment plant as part of this term's Inquiry topic. We went in car groups. Sihyun was in my car. When we got there me and Sihyun had to wait in the car and do a worksheet. After a while me and other people who were in the cars doing worksheets went inside to look. We got to see all the dirty water and a type of straw with a lot of holes in it. The holes were for the little bugs so they could not get in. Then we went outside and the man showed an enormous tank full of water to go to people's houses. He said, "It takes 4 hours to empty the big tank. " After that we all wet back to school!

Museum trip
Going to the museum

On Tuesday Room 8 went to the museum and John showed us around the museum it was fun.

On Tuesday me and my class went to the museum.We were learning abut Quakes. There were 5 different stations to visit. The first thing was with my dad.

On the 12th of May my class went on a museum trip. We saw dog shoes, port a loos . My group was River, Thomas Jordan and me,Paige. I was thinking that the dog was funny in the shoes but its a cute dog . Some damage can get very bad some people can get badly injured. We had lots of fun at the museum .

Yesterday we went to the museum. My group went to see what dogs and policemen wear after a earthquake. Then we went to the emergency stuff and a few minutes later we left for school.

Our Term 1 Inquiry
This term we have been learning about United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
