Totara Tryathlon

It was really hard to focus in Room 8 last Friday when our senior syndicate held their tryathlon so we gave up and went outside to watch! Everyone was trying their hardest.

Riverside pool

 We went to Riverside pool and  Dave talked about safety rules in the pool. We had fun .He got the rope swing out. I had 7 swings and it was great.

Camping

In the summer holidays I went camping with my family. We stayed up really late. We watched the movie the Lone Ranger. Mum read us some Harry  Potter. WE HAD AN AWESOME TIME!                                                                         

Riverside.


When we went to Riverside with the syndicate we got changed the then lined up on the side of the pool. One of the pool keepers called Dave talked to us. Then we got in the pool. Me and Emma went to the deep end. The rope was released. I waited in line and finally  it was my turn. When I was about to come off I was spinning out of control. I had three goes or maybe four. We got changed and Choi said to the girls we are leaving soon come on. We got a play on the playgrond. Then we left it was so fun.
One day I went to Hori Bay with my family and friends. There were huge waves I got a wipe out but I still had fun. It was awesome we had a BBQ we had sausages and coleslaw. I was sandy and soggy. It was amazing.



My birthday

On my birthday it was rainy and I was sick and tired. My mum called all my friends who were I had invited, not to come. I was sad. Later my mum's friend, Tam came. She was pregnant. We ate my cake and I opened my presents that were wonderful. My cake was a jelly cake shaped as a 8 and a pool. Then we went to K-mart and bought some stuff. That was a fun day.

Last Friday our syndicate went to Riverside pool. We got free time there was a rope swing.We were allowed  to jump in the pool. It was awesome there. I nearly had a heart attack in the water so a safety guard helped me back up.It was good I didn't swallow any water.

Last week the whole syndicate went to Riverside pool . It was really fun because:
 1. I got to play with all of my friends.
  2. its a pool. and I love swimming.

When we went to Riverside pool we had to take over 100 people, that is so many people to go to the pool that is about $400 or less.

Last week on Friday afternoon our syndicate went to Riverside Pool .The first ten minutes our syndicate played and then they put the rope swing down.I didn't go on the rope swing.

Purple Cake Day

Last week Jane came to talk about Purple Cake Day. She told us some stories about the poor people in Haiti, Nepal and Kenya. She told us what they did and how they lived.

On Friday this week we are going to Riverside Pool. Room 5, 6 and 7 are coming too.

Bibi Jane came to School on 4\3\2014 to talk to us about Purple Cake Day. My favourite colour is Purple. . I really feel sorry for the people of Haiti, Nepal, and Kenya.

Jane came to talk to us about Haiti and Kenya and about the poor people there. She showed us some pictures of their bedrooms and where they have a shower.

Suter Art Gallery

Last Monday we went to the Suter Art Gallery. We looked at pottery.We mad little clay peopele.
After that we walked back to school.

Kelly sports

A week ago it was Kelly sports.  It was great fun although I wish it hadn't been so hot.

On Tuesday we went to the Suter Art gallery. It was fun because we got to play with clay. Last time we got to make stars  but last time we made stars the ladle gave the some rope we made the things in the suter art gallery.We copied the stuff in gallery with the rope.s


Purple Cake Day

Last week  Jane talked to us about Purple Cake Day. She was wore purple.

On  Tuesday Jane talked to us about purple cake day, she also talked to us about Haiti  and about the people that live there. We  listened to lots of stuff  about Haiti. I 'm leaning about  the poor they sometimes have to sleep in tents.

On the 7 of March it  Purple Cake Day. Our syndicated had a trash and treasure and Room 5 had a lemonade stall.

On Thursday Jane talked to us about Purple Cake Day. She talked to us about Haiti  and about Kenya where the people need lots of help. On Purple Cake Day we raised $280.

Ambassador

At the start of term one we had to vote for student councillors. I stood for council and got a place as a councillor. I felt really proud of myself when Sue told me I had been elected.                              

Suter Gallery

Last week room 8 went to the art gallery and made cool clay people.

On Monday room 8 went to the Suter Art Galley to make clay people. Making clay people was fun because we got to make hair for our people I had fun.

 Kelly sports is fun and great because sports is my favourite activity.

On Tuesday Jane came to talk to us about Purple Cake Day.  We  listened to her talk about kids who are in need .We learned that some kids had to shower at four in the morning in the dark and shower  the was cold. We played some games and had some fun.

Yesterday we went to room17. Jane told us about Purple Cake day and  about Bobo and  the people of Kenya. She told us about the kids outside having a shower. That's cold!

Room 8 Representative on the student council

Congratulations to Thomas who has been elected as Room 8's representative to the Student Council.
Thomas was one of 6 students who put themselves forward.
